A total of eight couples were married in a civil mass wedding ceremony officiated by Mayor Ronnie Dadivas through the initiative of CARD Mutual Benefit Association (CARD MBA) at the City Hall of Roxas City, Capiz on July 26, 2019.

The mass wedding was hosted by CARD MBA to legitimize the union of couples and to legally cover them both with the benefits given by the Association and by the financial institutions of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) namely Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (CARD), Inc., CARD Bank, CARD SME Bank, and CARD MRI Rizal Bank, Inc.

CARD MBA shoulders the costs of documentation requirements of the married couple.

“When the staff from CARD MBA approached me to facilitate a mass wedding, I was happy to know that aside from providing financial services, CARD also has non-financial services that contributes a lot to the development of people’s lives,” said Atty. Ronnie Dadivas, City Mayor of Roxas.

Mayor Dadivas expressed his thanks to the institution for giving him the opportunity to officiate his first mass wedding since being elected as Mayor in Roxas City.

“We are happy with the support we get from the Local Government Units to implement our programs possible. We also want to ensure that every family will enjoy the benefits of legal marriage,” said CARD MBA Chief Executive Officer May S. Dawat.

To date, a total of 1,325 couples benefited from the mass wedding program of CARD MBA since it started in 2002.
