“Sana naman pagdating namin ng 70 taon ay ‘di na kami kailangan na magresign pa [sa CARD]. (We hope that we don’t have to retire from CARD when we reach 70 years old)” shared CARD members.

CARD MBA, Inc., the microinsurance arm of CARD MRI, ended the long wait of its clients as they finally launched recently their new insurance product, which insures members who have reached 70 years old but would like to continue being a CARD member.

As a result of the further assessment of the in-house actuary on what the institution can further improve and offer considering its clients’ needs, the Golden Life Insurance Program (GLIP) was realized.

GLIP is an optional program for CARD clients to continue their insurance coverage after the CARD MRI Mandatory Exit Age of 70 years old.

“We are very pleased that finally we have this kind of insurance product. After six long months of waiting and passing through the eye of a needle, it’s finally here. The Insurance Commission granted the implementation of GLIP. This is another innovative product of CARD, which is a result of constant listening to clients. Rest assured that we will always be present and willing to hear from you, our valued clients” shared Ms. May Dawat, CARD MBA, Inc. General Manager during the launching of GLIP.

Mr. Junjay Perez, the Executive Director of RIMANSI, a regional resource center covering Asia and the Pacific based in the Philippines that helps professionalize management of mutual benefit associations and develop risk-management solutions to its members like CARD MBA, also extended his greetings to CARD MBA for another pioneering microinsurance product.

CARD MBA is the only mutual benefit association that provides insurance coverage for age up to 100.

The launching was held last August 7 in two separate locations in Laguna, which was graced by CARD clients and its management.
